Scorpion Flower

I don't think your friend meant it like that otherwise he/she should not be called friend.
Every piece of art that was created with effort to it, can never be "shit".

So lets see what we have...

I really like the atmosphere of this piece.
The lighting and environment are creating a cold, sinister mood.
You made a good use of the Texture and the sparkles of light are a good idea.
I also like how his hair is very detailed.

What i don't like so much is the anatomy on his body.
His neck and upper body are wide but his lower body seems more like one of a child.
It totaly lags of even the tiniest contour of muscle and is really slender, especially in comparison to the rest of his body.

The Pillar on which the flower floats lags texture.
Compared to the rest of the picture it is quite low on detail, even for a simple stone pillar.
Remember that every part of a picture counts in the overall impression of the viewer!
Also the Flower is the source of light but the top of the pillar is as dark as the rest of it, which is a bit weird.


There are some things to work on but i am sure you will keep on improving as you are a talented artist!
